While prep time is under 20 min, make sure not to skip the chilling step before rolling out the dough to cut out the shapes. Preparation
  1. Using a stand mixer (with paddle attachment) or hand mixer on low speed, beat mix with butter, egg, and vanilla extract until a uniform dough forms. 
  2. Divide dough in half and form two 1" thick disks. Wrap both disks in plastic and refrigerate for 2 hr or until firm.
  3. Preheat oven to 375° F. Line Sheet Pan with Sheet Pan Liner
  4. Remove one disk from fridge and dust both sides with flour. Roll to 14" thick, cut into shapes, and arrange on pan 1" apart. Repeat with second disk. 
  5. Bake 10–12 min or until edges are lightly golden. Let cool on pan completely before decorating.
